Sponza GI

Hello guys,

I work with the Cryengine, but I’m been curious about the Unity, and its rendering possibilities. Indeed, it seems that this engine features many way to get some GI: lighmaps, geometrics and other plugins.
I worked on a demo featuring the last realtime GI solution of the Cryengine, called SVOTI, very similar to VXGI from Nvidia.

My question is: Is there someone here who could do the same demo with Unity, using realtime GI?
It could be very interesting to compare the two engines and possibly the two Sparse Voxel Octree GI technologies.

This model is free to use.

Ps: I’m not interested in some war comparison between engines, but I think it could be interesting to compare some of the technologies those two are using.

There’s already a sponza scene floating around. I have one as well (or had? Not sure if I still have it)

GI looked pretty similar, reflections looked worse since I didn’t have access to Ssr back then

Here is a basic version, very little time or effort went into it. Another user couldn’t get the bake process to finish, so I was checking to see if I could. It was done on one of the early betas too. I’ll go back into it today and update it with specular and some other effects…
