I go to Edit>Project Settings>Editor and set it to “Always Enabled” but when I then go to Window>Sprite Packer get the message > “Legacy sprite packing is disables”
If I now select “Always Enabled (Legacy Sprite Packer)” the message disappears but now the “Pack” button that should show me the packed atlases does nothing when pressed.
Just to say that I’m having a similar problem in 2017.2.0f3. The Pack button does nothing for me either. I’m thinking I’m just not getting the new packing system.
Carlos Wilkes’ Sprite Packer appears not to work in this version, and his last forum post suggests that most of the functionality of his asset is now in the 2017 cycle of Unity.
Yes, definitely tagged. I’m still looking into this. 2017.2.0f3 fixed a Substance problem, after the previous ones completely broke them. Going to pursue it some more and report back. It could always be me of course.
I believe to get rid of the warning you need to create a Sprite Atlas asset and add Sprites for packing in the “Objects for Packing” section. Then click Pack Preview.
