Sprite packing crash when importing project from 2019 LTS to 2020.2b12

I can’t seem to open my project when trying to upgrade to Unity 2020.2b12 (or 11 or 10 for that matter).
The stracktrace points to packing sprites and after a bit of googling it seems like you have already identified a problem with the sprite packer relating to using a secondary map on a sprite atlas or something, but I don’t do that. So the problem is something else. I have submitted Case 1293796, but since the project is big I can’t upload it as it just times out.

Send them an empty bug report and ask for cloud access. I guess you could also upload the project somewhere else and give them the link in the bug report.

We have this crash and we also use the secondary maps, but this issue for you makes me nervous that this issue may still be something else. Fingers crossed for b13 to see if it fixes anything.
