Sprite repeat overlap

Hi I have this sprite with a transparency and I would like to use it in a scrolling background. I know how to do this using a material an moving the offset in code.

My problem is that when I try to do it the image repeat have looks lie this.

Background
That transparency is what I want to remove

Material
Here you can see that if the material overlaps the sprite it would fit properly

I would like to overlap the sprite in such a way that the transparency is not shown, effectively making the scrolling background looks fluid

you must go into photoshop and paint in the empty space of the image
