Hi, we’re testing the new SpriteAtlas feature that comes with Unity 2017.1. We have the SpriteAtlas in version control (git).
I noticed that for different people, the atlas always gets modified when they run the game. The screenshot below shows what are modified. So the problem for me is that we have these files getting changed all the time without any meaningful change from our devs.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
We ideally want to use this feature because of the variants support which is super helpful.
Thanks!

Yes I’ve noticed this too and was curious as to what was happening, any help?
Yes, cannot switch one computer to other, otherwise the hash will change.
Thanks for that! Will let my dev partner know.
I wish Unity has a better solution for this.
I also notice this and wish there was a better option. Ideally they should be storing the final hashes and formats in the generated files in the Library directory or some other ‘build’ directory. Format/hash switches between iOS and Android every time.
what I do is assume unchanged spriteatlases on git so it stops bugging me , but its annoying this
I think this is fixed in 2017.1.2p3, 2017.2.0p4, 2017.3.0b11, 2018.1.0a5
