spritekit -> cocos2d -> unity

Hey I’d just like to thank the unity team for making a tool that is at least an order of magnitude better than anything else I have used.

I first started with swift/spritekit and had to stop when there was no option to change minimum inelastic velocity. I posted on apple forums/stackoverflow and got no response so I had to move on. The engine seemed simple and fun but there was just no support.

Then I moved to cocos2d/swift which was much better had more support and was opensource. The only problem was I wanted to use swift and it was a bit buggy using their latest version. I was searching how to add iads and use icloud when I happened upon unity.

The time it took me to ramp up on unity and do everything I had previously done was sure less than implementing iads and icloud. Also the asset store, wow. Thanks!

Well that’s cool! Glad you are liking Unity better. Never used those others that you mentioned. So many different APIs out there a person could spend all of their time just finding them all and trying them out.

Another glad customer.

Will you post your game to Google Play as well? Would love to play it and since Unity makes development for Android and iOS virtually the same (except few differences), porting should be easy.

Yeah thanks. Yeah it seems cool but I don’t like how much time I wasted, I should have researched all my options from the beginning better. For some reason I just made a snap decision early on about unity after reading some article without actually exploring it =/

Yes I will try to port it to android and pc if unity lets me :smile:
