Hi,
I’m looking for a solid 2D animation tool, so i was lurcking to Spriter and Spine.
They seem to have similar features, while Spriter don’t have deformable sprite already; and Spine Pro is more expensive.
What are the pros and cons, and what is the one that has the better Unity exporter compatible with UT5 ?
Thanks for any feedback.
Disclaimer: I haven’t used either -
I think I prefer Uni2D over both, but if I had to choose one I think I’d choose Spine for my own future purposes.
Both tools look adequate - I guess it depends how you prefer to work.
Neither support IK do they? If one supported IK I would choose that one.
Ik is supported by the two. Spein is lot more expensive if you need sprite deformation , while Spriter has announced spriet deformation but it is still not here.
I think i would take Spriter that is lot cheaper for full features, or use Blender if i really need sprite deformation.
Good point, I’m looking at incorporating 3D Max as my defacto 2D sprite animation tool.
And I can’t pin-point it but something about Uni2D seems kinda cool. Maybe it’s because it’s internal.
I didn’t know they both supported IK. The example vids should really be updated.
