First of all, I appreciate your comments and advice.
I want to make a SSX type game in Unity. The part I’m interested in is the physics of the character on the board.
The player needs to be able to fall off the board if the board hits extreme rotations.
And he needs to be able to do stunts, grab the board and do some skateboard type stunts.
Or, and the major thing is this, the board is actually floating in mid air!
Like in Eureka 7 is anyone knows that anime.
Never heard of Eureka 7 and looking up reference to that doesnt provide any skate board content.
Afaik most (maybe all) skate board in game content is animated instead of physics driven.
The animations will probably have to be short so transitions from trick to trick can be accomplished without any loss of control by the player.
Physics may be used alongside animations when accounting for leaning, angle of approach and trajectory, but mostly any physics probably doesnt kick fully in until the character crashes - at which point the board turns to a physics driven rigid body and the character ragdolls.
