Hi!
I’ve just created my first simple game with the free version av Unity 3 and created a standalone player for mac. Everything works fine and I can play my game from my desktop but when I send it to my friends via dropbox they can’t play the game. It seems to be a real application with an icon and it’s about 30 Mb but nothing happens when they double click the app. What can be the problem? I’m a newbie, so I can have missed something obvious.
Best regards
Farre
Well…perhaps your friends doesn’t use Mac.
Yes, she does
A MBP 17" with Snow Leopard running on an Intel. Now I tried to create a super-simple game with just a cube in front of the camera. Same result. The app just won’t open.
Nice one !
I’ve never had a mac, heard that you always need to zip the app if you are gonna send it.
I was just going to say that it is the solution. I zipped the game and put in in Dropbox, then it worked just fine for my friend!!
Just wanted to say that we tried zipping the game today and it worked! Thanks for the solution!
