Starcraft II

On sale today?
StarCraft II

Yes i am still thinking if i should buy it or not, i’m not really sure…

preordered mine long ago on amazon.co.uk, the likely cheapest place in europe to get it. was sent out yesterday and will hopefully reach me by the next weekend.

as for their “sale”: 60 EUR is in no way a sale … not compared to the 30 pounds I pay on amazon.co.uk

My computers can’t play it so I am not going to get it until like Christmas when I can also hopefully get a game PC. All my computers are for programming and not really all that powerful for playing high end graphics intensive games. The latest settlers is a great example of that, very cool game, can’t play it.

Its a blizzard game … there is only one rule on them: they work on korean gamer pcs so don’t require high end

Isn’t this a small discrimination?

what is interesting is you can download the game online on the day of release - this is something alot of blizzard fans have wanted for a while, and its nice they are finally doing it

I shall use this as a test for my new pc .

Naw not really, cause that wasn’t what I wanted to imply with that.
But its a fact that they focus more on skill and fluid gameplay than on eye candy (comparable to pro quake players and alike that don’t mind killing out all visuals to the barebone cause it helps you on your skill end. Did that back in the Q3 but especially painkiller days too)

this basically holds for all reaction based games as far as I’m aware …
Games which are more strategic are not that affected by it (CS, TF2, …), at least I have far less of a prob with it there.

Even the Blizzard store uses this comment for the Starcraft Classic version:

So i doubt it’s discriminating, just a good way to express the games target like dreamora said

BTW just bought StarCraft II and installing right now, can’t wait D:

Considering the popularity of internet cafes in Korea for gaming and that many cafes do not have bleeding edge equipment, it was a fair statement. But, what the hell, let’s interpret things in the worst way possible, no reason to let rational thinking or the benefit of the doubt get in the way.

Starcraft II is the end of productivity for me…

Me and my girlfriend got home from work at 5:00, we got a quick lunch at in-n-out. And then we played Starcraft II until 11:00… I didn’t realize how long we were playing until I noticed the sun wasn’t out anymore.

Can’t… Stop… PLayInG…

Good thing we all have so much self-control and focus, eh? plays another 4v4

Damn all of you. I can’t play Starcraft 2 yet because I spent all my money on my new computer :(. Oh well, 7 days till payday.

$60 at Wal-Mart for a single campaign I find way overpriced. I’ll wait until it goes on sale.

I suck at traditional RTSs anyhow.

bought mine at amazon.co.uk, 27 £, which for me as swiss (non EU) in the end means about 40 CHF = 40 USD.

thats a price I’m willing to consider getting it and did so  its the only game thats on my plans to buy at release this year for PC actually … the only other game at all on the plans might end to be FIFA 11. my last one was like Fifa worldcup 1998

Do you think the expansions will still sell at $60 a pop. Thats 180 to see the whole thing.

I expect them to cost at max the regular addon price assuming it will be an addon that requires the orig, and not a standalone and assuming its not sold digitally only

Well, I paid 62 bucks for it, but frankly, it’s worth every penny so far.

the ladder system is awesome…
