Start and Finish line for Race Game

I’ve been working on a mario kart like racing game and I am wondering how to create the start and finish lines. I thought I would just put two stretched cubes at the beginning and end and set triggers but I’m not sure if that would work. Thoughts?

Yeah that should work, if its a circular track you should also put a trigger at the half way point of the track, that way they cant skip everything and head right to the finish.

I would be inclined - depending on how complex your tracks are - to have a number of places which the cars have to pass through in order to be deemed to have finished the race. Posiiton them sensibly so players can take no liberties, but have some freedoms too.
