State Animation for landing gear instead a script, how to?

Hello community.
So far i’ve been able to set an landing gear being animated by translating/rotating the object to the state I want to, however i tried to create an animation that stop the object at certain position when the state is “Raised” (enum of value 1) and stop the object when at certain position when the state is “Lowered” (enum of value 0).

someone could advise me on how i may accomplish this using animation instead a script?

How about create both extreme positions (and maybe in -between too) and then using animator, map them into 1D blend tree? That way you could drive your landing gear animation using just one float value.

so you mean… 3 animations?

  • Left: the Lowered landing gear with no animation at all
  • Middle: the animation between Lowered and Raised landing gear
  • Right: the Raised landing gear with no animation at all

So using blend tree, I set those 3 using an integer or boolean variable to switch between then?
