Static Batching Crashing on Device - Is this Normal?

When ever I have batching on objects - either by editor checkboxes or via script , it instantly crashes on the ipad. without batching , scene(pretty big) loads fine although with very high number drawcalls. Is this the way it is? is there a workaround?


You’re probably running out of memory, check the XCode console output. Batching improves the draw calls but it comes with an downside, it uses more memory.
