Static batching - how do I undo this?

I found out today that i’m not able to move the static objects in my scene (or at least I drag the gizmo and the transform numbers in the inspector change, but the object itself doesn’t move)

Now “Combined mesh” is appearing under the mesh filter component on static objects -

I did some research and this is apparently related to static batching
Is there any way to undo this? Every time I try to do things like occlusion baking it makes no progress and then crashes if I hit cancel
knew I should have got my version control working again :frowning:

It’s a Christmas miracle, turns out my generic backup software actually backed up my working folder yesterday evening, so I was able to retrieve the scene file from before
I have learnt my lesson and am halfway through setting up version control again
My theory is that my dated autosave editor script triggered at runtime when I was simulating the game, I suppose I should delete it and make saving a muscle memory habit…
I’ll give this script a shot too

Two years ago but problem still here. There is no way to revert.

There is a known bug right now where mesh filter’s mesh is replaced with combined meshes and saved in the scene.

Does this apply to you?
