Status Bar Orientation

Is it possible to change the orientation of the status bar for Android? I do have the checkbox for “Status Bar Hidden” set, but on the S3, you can still bring it down if you do the swiping motion at the top of the screen (which can happen by accident rarely on our game due to the play style).

I’d like to move the status bar to portrait mode while the game is in landscape, if possible. (I do this for iOS)

Locking the status bar from ever appearing would work too

Does anybody have any information on this?
Just want to move the top status bar to a different orientation than the game. This appears to be a Samsung issue (my Nexus 4 completely disables the status bar when in fullscreen)
