After 7 years of development and 1.5 years of Early Access we are finally releasing our game, Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor on Steam!

In Nimbatus you build space drones and explore a fully destructible universe. The destructible terrain was actually one of the only things we developed way back in 2013 that made it into the final game.
The drone editor is the heart of the game and one of the things we iterated the most. We kept coming up with new drone parts throughout the entire development, even when we should have been working on other things. Our favorite parts are probably the logic and sensor parts that can be used to build and program fully autonomous drones.
Because we initially couldn’t decide on what kind of gameplay we wanted to have, we’ve developed multiple separate game modes over the years. There is a rogue-lite survival mode where you pick a captain with unique abilities and drone parts and have to survive by gathering resources and upgrading your drones. Then there is a sandbox mode that is very customizable and allows you to build drones without limitations. And last but not least there is the competitive mode where you can measure your engineering skills against other players in multiple arenas such as Drone Sumo, Racing and Brawl.
We are super happy that we can finally release it, and we hope it does well enough that we can keep updating it and maybe even start working on a new game!
