SteamVR Bindings Lost when using Enigma VirtualBox?

So I’m working on a VR game using the SteamVR plugin, and all works great. For my built game, I wanted to make the game into a single exe file so it’s easier to send to people for testing.
To do this I’m using Enigma VirtualBox as per this guide all works well, but when I try to launch the resulting exe, SteamVR can’t find the controller bindings, thus making the game unplayable. Everything works fine when I launch the Unity-built exe, but not the compiled exe.
Are there any solutions to this?

I ended up using WinRar to create a self-extracting exe and this works fine. A little slow to launch after double-clicking the exe, but still works fine.
