SteamVR: how to prevent player perspective from moving (keep fixed perspective)

Hello, I am programming a vision science experiment in which we would like the perspective of the player to not move or rotate at all.

Is there an easy way to do this?


Not commenting on your most probably sick and cruel intentions here… for science. ok.

Positional tracking can be dactivated - but rotational… since that defeats the very purpose of VR on a HMD it can’t really be switched off - not without hacking the openVR rig.

Besides that, you could parent your whole scene to the camera and it wouldn’t rotate. But please don’t test it on rats and monkeys, test it on yourself first :stuck_out_tongue:
