Steps to relist Visual Studio Code Editor Visual and Visual Studio Editor in the Package Manager

//Hi I solved this by Package Manager> Unity Registry and reinstalling Visual Studio Code Editor from there.
//I hope this helps someone else if the same problems.
//Have a good one, and take care of one another :)))))
//I don’t know how to select a prefix to say this is solved, maybe that’s another topic to post

Hi,

After updating Visual Studio and Unity, multiple instances of VS are opening when I open multiple scripts. I know this topic has been covered before and I’ve tried following the advice on old threads.
One thread said to remove Visual Studio Code Editor Visual and Visual Studio Editor from the Package Manager to solve the problem of multiple instances of VS opening.
So I tried that, with no luck.
Now another thread says that updating Visual Studio Code Editor Visual and Visual Studio Editor from the Package manager would solve the problem.
But now I don’t know how to relist Visual Studio Code Editor Visual and Visual Studio Editor in the Package Manager to update them.
Does anyone know the steps to relist Visual Studio Code Editor Visual and Visual Studio Editor in the Package Manager?

Thank you for your time, and any advice,
Chris

Visual Studio Code Editor package is for using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) which is a completely different program from Visual Studio.

If you’re only using VS, don’t use this package.

Then again, if you wanted to use VSCode, you should know that this Visual Studio Code Editor is silently deprecated and already removed from the newer Unity. The development has been taken over by a community member. Discussion here .

Hi I’m using Visual Studio Editor, in the end, I’m obviously confused by the similar sounding software. Hopefully the problems are solved for who knows how long, but that’s part of the fun right. 9175616--1277615--unityEds.jpg
