Still cant download anything from the Asset Store

Hi everyone,
Its been a long time since I called for help here.
For the past time Ive worked on various projects. Often I could continue without the asset store because I had downloaded stuff, which I found in the AppData.

But it became clear it cant be like this forever.
Ive done several uninstalls/installs of Unity3D versions, currently on 2020.3.30f1 (LTS).

Whenever I try to get a package from ‘My Assets’ through Google Chrome, a popup will show when clicking ‘Open in Unity’. And it stops from there.

All permissions are set ok because Im the admin. I checked a lot, turning off my anti-virus, reinstalls etc.
I cant seem to find how to fix this and its bugging me.
Any help is appreciated

After talking with a friend online and I explained the problem he said Why dont you just download through the package manager?
If you filter by My Assets in the top left corner you can do that
