still not compelled, sorry.

Dear Unity Marketing and Executive teams:

You might as well extend the Pro license offer to the end of 2017, … cause it is still not compelling enough.

If it included a free lunch and round of beer every 6 months with Unity Support and Development teams… I think I might be compelled.

[edit], if the teams were local it would need to be every month. otherwise, travel would have to be included.

Go back to the light skin for a while, then let us know if you still feel the same.

On that note, I’m dreading having to revert to the light skin.

I can’t stand the dark skin; I only use it for testing editor assets to make sure they work with both skins.

I’m not ruling out Plus version for that and the benefit of getting rid of the splash stuff (or customizing)… Just sayin’ Pro offer is a joke.

I ain’t makn’ bank here…

Glad I’m not the only one. The first thing I did when I upgraded to plus was figure out how to turn the darn thing off.

Since the only reason to go pro is the higher revenue limit, you’d be an idiot to go pro if you weren’t making more then 100k annually.

This pretty much sums things up. People seem to have this weird misunderstanding when it comes to Pro. If you don’t need Pro, don’t get Pro, and don’t post these pointless threads complaining about the Pro pricing model.

First, the rev cap for Plus is $200k (the $100k cap is for the Personal Edition). If you “ain’t makn’ bank here…” then you don’t need Pro (and may not even need Plus). I swear, Unity could pay devs to make a game and people would still complain.

You know whats funny? I was forced to use Unity as my first Engine because Epic has no option to change the dark skin in UE4. I have a Dell S2415H monitor, its those amazing glossy displays with ultra thin near invisible bezels the beauty of glossy displays is that there is no hazy matte covering that diffuses light and causes eye fatigue and damage to the eyes over decades of use so everything looks crystal clear as it should be. Wanna know something else? I live on a tropical Island, there are many days I love to open my big sliding windows and let in that hard hitting warm breeze, it beats being in a dark room with AC on when I could be hearing the grass blowing in the wind.

Wanna know something else? that dark theme turns my monitor into a mirror when I open my windows. For the love of god every company needs to do like Unity and give us an actual bright theme. With Unity I need not worry about sun light

One time I switched to light theme and literally got cancer.

I had to switch to dark theme to cure it, it was the only way.

I have to say that the half-dozen emails about upgrading to Plus (25% off!) in the last month or so have been annoying.

this is the general area… pointless is the point.

Well, there are other engines; if you don’t like Unity.

As for the skins, the problem is that:

  • the light one is too light,
  • the dark one is too dark.

some of you all are reading… way to much into my post.

Especially for those of us already on a plus subscription…

Emoticons. If you’re creating a joke thread then I highly recommend using them.

Unity wants its dues for their labor, pay up or face the consequences. I tried to hold out and they showed up at my house with their clandestine paramilitary assault force. After few minutes of water boarding, they broke me. It’s easier to just cooperate. Don’t try to be a hero.

I am lonely on this deserted Island and I do wish sometimes Unity would email me you guys get all the emails :frowning:

You know whats funny I could never get people who could make $100,000 and then have an issue paying up $1500 for the software that allowed them to make that much money in the first place.

Even with UE4, 5% cut if you make a lot of money I mean yeah if one can actually reach the EULA terms to pay up 5% cut then the last thing on your mind should be how much is 5% since you would pretty much be shopping in the Ferrari showroom at that point.
