Hi there for some time i have been working on a stone age survival game. As far as the game goes at the moment i have been working on the basics such as terrain player controls as well as some more advanced features such as, hunger/thirst bars health a building system for caves a very simple crafting system and animal AI and a gui menu system .
any feedback and help would be greatly appreciated
I am also looking for someone to help me out with scripting and animations if your interested please pm me
Hi, nice to see more games of this type here, i can suggest you to make the GUI (menus etc…) a little better, but since you are starting is okay (:
It’s going to be online?
Please keep the multiplayer away -.- I love this genre too much to see it pelted with multiplayer options and players.
If you need any help, I’ll be here. I’d do anything to see a game based on the Stone Age succeed. Also, you should make a list of features you’d like in the game. I’d personally prefer these for my personal taste:
A top down camera (I don’t see myself playing a game based in the Stone Age with a first person camera)
The ability to find caves and live in them
The ability to create families
Hunting!
Food system warmth
It depends, a lot of people love to play multiplayer others enjoy playing single player, if you add a good multiplayer it can be awesome, but if you add a multiplayer with no coop options and only pvp… bad.
Top down camera is like Age of empires, the photos are from a fps setup.
aha its ok man im gunna work on all of those things my main concern is scripting as im just so bad at it if you would like to help feel free to mail me on dajoner@outlook.com
the multiplayer aspect of it would be around the whole co-op idea and less of the pvp as i fricking hate pvp as far as the camera goes i have something similar to the dayz camera switch from 3rd person to first person
I’m not good with anything randomly generated so I’m going to give you a well deserved good job! You did something I am not mentally able to at this point. I focus more on raw game mechanics when coding.
