I am developing in VS Community 2017. Some scripts open in it when double clicking script in Inspector and errors in the Console. Others open in VS Community 2015. I have 2017 set in Preferences, threw out sln and csproj files and rebooted. I have checked all the boxes under Preferences and clicked Regenerate Project Files. It will work sometimes, I do some work and double click script in the Inspector or try to go to the error line by clicking the Console error and it will open in 2015. Thoroughly annoying. It is not apparent what I should throw out/delete to avoid ever having to open 2015 again without crippling other VS versions… Solution anybody?
Do the ones which open in 2015 have a different file extension than the ones which open in 2017? If so, is Windows configured to open files of that file extension in VS 2015?
They are all .cs file extensions. I deleted the 2015 file folder in User MyName just now… It opened in 2015 anyways WTF???
