Strange dark outlines/shadows appear on objects when moving the camera

Hi,
I’m working on a openworld-game and generally shadows for various objects isn’t a problem. However when i move the camera around the scene, a strange outline is being casted, especially on the edges of the mountains (Link to video)

It can be difficult to see the issue in the video, but it’s way more visual in the editor. Basically there’s a weird outline of the object’s edge, not particularly a shadow but more like the edges are getting darker when moving the camera.

It’s not the most game-changing issue, but it really bothers me, and i’m sure if the player notices it, it would bother them too.

I have searched for solutions but i can’t find other people with similar issues. I would really appreciate if anyone has a idea on how to fix this problem - hope you can help!

I can’t see the effect you’re talking about in this video. Can you screenshot it?
If you can’t then it’s a ghosting artefact from your monitor

Thank you for replying first of all. Im trying to take a screenshot of the issue, but when i analyze the video frame for frame it isn’t visible. It’s only visible when the video is playing or when i move the camera around in the editor. I’ll keep trying to get a visualization of the issue but i think you’re right in correlation to it being a problem with my monitor, but what exactly is a ghosting artefact?

There are a ton of different kinds of artefacts, here’s a list of a few with screenshots:

The site is pretty massive and has loads of varied tests, but here’s one on ghosting that may show your issue: Blur Busters TestUFO Motion Tests

That’s exactly what it looks like on my screen! The article says a little bit about solving the problem but i must admit that i don’t quite understand what i’m supposed to practically?

There is no solution apart from trying out some alternative settings in your monitor (if it has them) like overdrive, or buying a better monitor!
