have you tried using different materials in Unity for that object?
Yes, i tried that already. Further I tested it with a standard material from unity. It seems the mesh faces are the problem. It's a model original created in ZBrush. With models original created in Maya I have no problems. Normally I create them first in Maya, swap them over to ZBrush, make fine-tuning and swap them back to Maya, to fix any occurring problems and to give the last final touch.
