Streaming game in a day. (Labyrinth 3d)

Pretty much the goal of this is to prepare for a local gamejam. Game jams, for those that don’t know, is where you go to a place where a lot of other game devs go, and when the time to start comes, you are given a topic to work on, for instance “Rock”. With that subject, you have to base your entire game on it. So, in this instance, you have to make a game that is rock themed.

Other limitations? Well, you have only 48 hours to finish it. But, you can meet people and put together a small team to try and finish the game. It’s all in great fun and costs nothing to do. The global game jam (where many countries and cities do it on the same weekend) is held annually in January. Google it for more info if it sounds cool to you.

As for my topic, since this is my day off, I’ve decided to make a labyrinth game in one day. I’ve also decided “Meh, I’ll stream it, why not.” so, you can watch the stream here: http://justin.tv/calibermengsk

Don’t know why you’d want to watch, but whatever. If you want to watch you can.

Done! I haven’t done optimizations (merging meshes) because… well, I’ve never ever done it before, and it’s now running perfectly fine on my Optimus V, which is probably the slowest phone that supports unity.

Anyway, I attached the APK for people to download and install if they like. Total time ~6.5 hours. Let me know if it doesn’t work on your phone, and what it’s doing. I’m just glad I got it to this point.

And before you say it, Yes, it could use more levels. That’s not the point. Levels are easy enough to make for this type of game. The point was to make the complete game.

Sure, I do need to optimize it (merging meshes for example), but it is very playable, and enjoyable. :stuck_out_tongue: And I’m tired of working on it now XD… so It’s done!!
