Streamline Animation Building for Similar Characters?

So I followed this excellent tutorial for animating my main player character in a top-down RPG game: Creating 2D animated sprites using Unity 4.3 by Michael H.C. Cummings

But now I have to animate many different NPC characters, all the same size and same spritesheet format as the one I just did. Would I have to go through all those steps again or is there a faster way, perhaps by copying the generated files and renaming some things?

i would also like to know.
