Hey,
I’m getting this serious artifact whenever I enable shadows. At medium distances, a striped pattern is overlaid on the scene. The stripes change their interval based on distance, making me think it’s related to shadow cascades somehow.
None of the shadow settings remove this bug, I’ve tried quality and light settings.
Might be related to my oldish videocard - ATI Radeon HD 3850, but the issue started when I upgraded to Unity 4.0.
The picture is from a clean project, with terrain, one camera and one directional light with shadows.
Any ideas?
I get the same thing, but not just with terrain. Its on all objects. I have one directional light in the scene with shadows enabled. The bias setting under soft shadows helps, but it basically just removes the shadows from certain areas and doesn’t totally eliminate the issue
I’m having this same problem. Just showed up and now it won’t go away.
Can you describe your issue and what hardware and version of unity you are using?
Intel I5-3570k, Ati Radeon 6870 and 4.5.2 Pro. I copied all of my files and transferred to a new project. Seemed to fix the issue for now.
