Strumpy.net - A Unity Blog by Stramit and Texel

Hi everyone!

You may have seen Texel and myself around the forums. We are the creators of the ‘Strumpy Shader Editor’, and have noticed that there is a lack of high quality blogging with regard to unity. We hope to remedy this.

We have started a blog that will cover topics ranging from graphics programming, to game design, to editor extension and a variety of other topics that should interest anyone making games using unity! We hope to make this blog accessible to all users of unity, from the beginner to the seasoned professional. Some of the articles will cover fundamentals of unity, and others will cover more advanced topics. If at any stage you have questions or ideas for topics that you would like explained, ask away and we might make a blog post about it if there is enough interest.

You can find the blog here.

We hope you enjoy this blog, and here are some links to the first few posts:

Understanding texels and mipmapping - http://www.strumpy.net/?p=8
Building a Better GUI Part 1 - http://www.strumpy.net/?p=23
Visibility Sweeping - http://www.strumpy.net/?p=21

Where appropriate we are creating demo’s and source code to show off the areas we are talking about in each post. Our first is ‘Burrito Cat’, and extreme and action packed game teaching you all about visibility sweeping and the evils of cats that throw burritos at you!

A new source of awesomeness \o/

Hi, necroanastasis* time !
I am very interested in some more info related to the GUI.
It would be also great if you could share some of the source code behind your editor gui.
In any case, I find the posts in your blog very useful, thanks for sharing.
