Student License Restrictions on Unity iOS Android

Looking at purchasing the Student version of Unity iOS Android from Studica.com and I have a couple questions. I’ll be using Unity to assess its suitability for building Geology training apps for iOS and Android devices.

    1. Can apps built with the student version be distributed (free of charge) via iTunes Android market? I know commercial app distribution is restricted but not clear if the license also restricts non-commercial apps.
    1. Are the Pro iOS Android student versions limited or crippled in some way compared to the full versions sold by Unity?
    1. Do apps developed with the student version display some sort of “Student Version” text notice or graphic on the screen when the apps are run?
If so, it seems certain Apple would reject any such app submission making it impossible to distribute Free apps developed with Unity student version.

Thanks in advance for your assistance, look forward to learning Unity development.

According to Unity’s EULA

2) LICENSING RESTRICTIONS:
(a) Unity Pro may be licensed by any company, educational institution, incorporated entity, or individual.
(b) Unity (free version) may not be licensed and used by companies, educational institution or incorporated entities that had a turnover in excess of US$100,000 in their last fiscal year.
(c) Discounted academic versions of Unity or Unity Pro may only be licensed by educational institutions for use by their students and staff. The license is granted for learning purposes and may not be used for publishing commercial content.
(d) A company, educational institution, incorporated entity, or individual may not license both Unity Pro and Unity at the same time.

Read (c) i think you can’t use it to publish games with the academic version. Not sure but if i am wrong, please correct me.

I do believe if you can scrape together the $400, it’ll be an investment for you. I do not think you are able to distribute anything with the student version except for web player stuff and free stuff for desktops (the unity free edition covers this regardless).
