Thats not completely true. You are definitly allowed to build and webplayer in order to show of for example what you have done with unity so far. If you meant by “publishing”, creating a game, selling it, putting it on Kongregate or anything like this, then yeah, thats not allowed.

I read this that you can’t publish it whatsoever (since they had my “definition” of publishing it non-commercially)! If they sue you just because you still do is another question (I doubt it if it is just for show and totally non-commercial)…
But I bought the educational license anyway just to get rid of this annoying pro trial… I never intended to publish something with it. When the game is ready I will buy the pro and done ;)… But since you never know how long it takes or if you every finish, I rather see the 1500 USD on my account than on theirs at least while developing…
