Studica Non-commercial restriction

Let’s say, i’d like to buy a pro-license via Studica. In the description, it says “Non-commercial use only”.
Okay, fine, i could live with that. BUT: How exactly do they mean it?

I know that i can’t sell the game (standalone) for money, but what if i earn money not with the game itself but with other options?

Some examples:

  • I have a website with a donation page, where people can donate for the game for further developement (via Paypal, Flattr, …)
  • I have an ingame shop available, where players can buy special upgrades like different weapons or such stuff.
  • My website, where i host the game, has ads (Google Adsense or whatever) online and with these i earn money (like NPlay’s Begone)

What of these examples is non-commercial and what is commercial?

The second one is 100% not allowed.
Not sure about donations and ads, but from most other noncommercial licenses I’ve seen, you’re not allowed to get any income from your game. If you get paid from ads it’s still a form of commercial usage because you’re earning profit.
