I supposed I’m not the only person who missed this, but SubEthaEdit 2.2 is still available for non-commercial use from CodingMonkeys:

Yeah, 2.2 also happens to be a UB, so the Intel Mac guys aren’t left out.

Neato. This wins an internet. I got a new Intel Mac and when I reinstalled SubEthaEdit It wanted money. And I was all like:
