Hia
I know this must be something for the Apple site, but I don’t know what forum to go to and the help on the iPhone developer site just gives me basic info and tells me to contact Apple directly and with my past experiences of waiting 2 weeks between every email, I am hoping you guys might be quicker…
Seriously:
Hi, my country doesn’t have an online store. Could you please send me the forms?
2 weeks later I get it.
That same day I fax it back and email them the info.
2 weeks later they tell me: “We’ll tell the team you sent the fax”
1 week later i ask for a progress update
2 weeks later they reply that I left out a field
I send the missing info same day
2 weeks later they say they will now re-assess my application…
I honestly hope you are going to be faster…
I managed to get my game onto the iPhone and test it and am very happy with it. I have don everything I need to do to submit the app to the iTunes store with the exception of uploading the actual binary. The binary, however, keeps telling me “Application failed codesign verification”.
Surely if my keys and profiles etc are setup so that XCODE sends it to the iPhone and the iPhone plays it, no worries, what could be the reason for me being unable to upload it?
What do I need to do to get past this “codesign verification” error?
Today was the 1 year anniversary of the release of the first version of the game as a dashboard game so I was hoping to submit today, but no luck thus far.
Thanks in advance
Sounds like its a problem your end not apples… and it could be a array of problems one of which could be your not building using release you might be still using the developer profiles… re build but make sure release is on in excode
Nope, just because you can put the game on your phone doesn’t mean you are signing it properly for the store.
Signing for development is one thing; signing for distribution (which is what you must do when sending a build to Apple) is another.
If you go to the “program portal” there are some very good docs on how to set up your XCode project for distribution. Just follow the steps they outline.
hi rob thanks for the help regarding the mike issue
I am certain I am compiling to production. That much I am certain about.
Regarding the Developer portal. Could you please (I now this is asking a lot, but) could you please list the links to follow to get to the relevant info, please? I already spent nearly 2 hours looking through the docs there and all I get is the info on how to setup a private key, how to create provisioning profiles, how to create distribution profiles for internal apps, how to code for iPhone, how long will it take to get an agreement verified, where can students get info bla bla bla
I simply cannot find anything that explains how to get the code signed for distribution on iTunes
Please…
Okay, so I found it on the site.Turns out I needed 2 provisioning profiles. One for developing and then another for distribution… Who knew!
So yeah, the app is submitted and now the nail biting begins while I await the approval stamp…
Thanks for the effort, guys. Much appreciated
(Annoying much… clicked Submit 12 times now…

try downloading the submission application loader on itunes speeds up the submission process
Yeah, I did that
I meant pressing the submit button to make posts here normally takes a dozen or so times before the “Invalid session” message is replaced with a “Your post was successfully submitted” message
Know what I just realized tonight, though? I have read SO much about Unity for iPhone, but does Unity actually work on iPod Touch also??? I assumed so all this time, but I don’t recall seeing it mentioned anywhere… Hmmm… time to use the search button…
