If i import a texture I already created into substance designer… it looks fine in substance designer, but when i use the newly generated substance texture in unity… it seems faded and washed out. Any idea why? Is there a proper route in using textures in substance designer and into unity? Check out the attached image for an example.
Could you provide us your substance or a test project so we can have a look?
The texture should, of course, look exactly the same.

No need, it happens even with the simplest of tests. For instance ill import a texture file like a psd or bmp and hook it straight to the output, and in unity the texture is always faded compared to the original made in photoshop. Is there something the output node needs besides setting it a diffuse?
Another thing… if i am in designer and i simply export the output node, the texture files are identical with no problems in photoshop. The problem is when it is used as a substance in unity.
Im using unity 3.5.5f3
We just answered you today via mail.
We don’t manage to reproduce this problem, and we sent you a new substance to try.
Cheers,
Nicolas
Just found the issue, linear lighting doesn’t work well with substance at the moment. It is a bug and I have been told it will be fixed in unity 4.0
