Substance Tools Now on Unity Asset Store

Hello,

Summer is on the way, it’s time to enjoy the great outdoors… or to keep creating even more awesome assets for the Substance Battle of the Titans Contest

This week, we would like to share with you the following announcements. Substance: the first third-party software available on the Unity Asset Store (and on sale!)

We have strengthened our partnership with Unity so as to keep making Substance more accessible to the wider game developer community: all of our software is now available on Unity Asset Store.

We also thought the launch would be a good opportunity for another sale, so this week on the Unity Asset Store Substance Pro licenses will be at -25% and Indie licenses will be at -33% (indie licenses have a revenue generation limit of $10,000/year, whereas Pro licenses allow unlimited commercial use). This also applies to bundles like the Indie Pack and the Pro Pack

And the icing on the cake, people who acquire any substance product on the Unity Asset Store this week will be offered a package of 30 Substances optimized for runtime generation inside Unity. Isn’t life beautiful?

We have also created a new set of videos on texturing an asset with Substance Designer and Substance Painter for Unity users. If you have any questions or need help, please let me know.

You are a Video Tutorial machine Wes!

Thanks  I’m trying to crank out some good stuff. I’ll keep 'em coming.

HI Wes,

I brought this on the asset store but if I copy video 2 above and try to export all maps, it tells me to buy it on Steam.

I kinda need an immediate fix on that. Can you get in touch and sort me out with a Steam key please ASAP?

I’m kinda in an urgent mode on this. Someone else posted about this on your forum too.

Hi Aaron,

It sounds like you were running in trial mode. Did you install the license key? Please send me email at wes.mcdermott@allegorithmic.com and I’ll get it fixed ASAP.

Cheers,

Wes

Got it sorted thanks Wes!
