The Assets and Asset Store section is used primarily by publishers who want to promote their assets. That’s great, but when Asset Store-related threads get posted in “Assets and Asset Store” they quickly get buried and no one sees them, because that section is flooded with promotions. So then people post Asset Store related threads in Unity Gossip, and the mods have to move them to the Assets section.
My suggestion is to split the “Assets and Asset Store” section into 2 sections: “Assets”, and “Asset Store”. Publishers can still promote their stuff in “Assets”, but Asset Store related threads won’t get buried. The reason I posted this in gossip instead of assets is a perfect illustration. It might get moved, but in the assets section it will get buried quickly and no one will see it. I don’t know if @ has the ability to do that or what, but I thought I would throw the idea out there.
