Suitable Ads for kids?

Hello,
I use Unity Ads for my game(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cerg.DuckBlock) and I choose age destination “This app is directed to children under the age of 13.” in the dashboard.

I was seeing Unity test reward ads until yesterday.
Now I can see real ads for reward ads. But I am not sure if these ads are suitable for kids. I see gambling games like jackpots or about crypto currencies application ads. Are these ads suitable for kids?

Thank you for help.

There is filter on the unity dashboard console under monetization. You can choose what the age cap is under Ad Filter section. You can shut down 17+, 13+, 9+ and 5+ (all inclusive to itself, so if you choose 13+, it shutdown 17+ AND 13+). Note that filtering will lower the amount of money you make and your fill rate (meaning if it find an ad to serve or not).

Thank you very much for your reply @artanist .

When I check ad filters under monetization, “Do not show ads rated 13+” is selected. If gambling games and cryptocurrency application ads shown with this filter, It may be better to choose “Do not show ads rated 9+”.

I wrote “This app contains child-friendly ads” in the description of the game in the google play store so I really want to be sure if ads are safe for kids.

Thank you very much.

Well I don’t know what to tell you, but gambling is not legal for people underage so yeah I think you will have to wait for a Unity guy to answer your question (if they come… they don’t always show up).

I went back into the log for my own ads and discover that there is additionnal filter for the content. Maybe you can also remove Casino and gambling, topic that it is obviously not for kid

Thank you very much @artanist

I think this filter makes much more safer.

This experience shows me that ads have problems in categorizing for ages. I hope content categorization works well.

Thank you again.
