Hey Peter.
I played the game.
I really liked the plesant sound fx and bg music. And the UI and text font is real nice and laid out well.
The controls to me feel a little floaty. After playing a couple times I felt a little better as I was able to control the bounces a little better than I could at the beginning.
I played on my iphone 4s and experienced zero lag or any hiccups. Nice
For some reason running into the birds ended the game when I was out of fuel. Seemed a little odd (cheap) to me since there was a couple times I was just above a fuel can.
I think the birds shouldnt really effect a flying car in any way. They could just be a visual addition. Would be a little ‘fun’ to add some feather puffs as you fly through them.
I think ads were implemented well. Nice job - though, I dont know why, a couple times the ad popped up when it was game over - but the car had not completely fallen to the ground - so when the ad was finished - the end game completed then went to the end game menu. Just feels a little miss-timed.

The idea of the birds ‘killing’ you is to make the game quite difficult. We originally set out to create a game which you could pick up and have a go in about 30 seconds. Without the birds we feel that the game would be a bit too easy and users may get bored if it’s not challenging enough.
Also, there are some little puffs if you hit them at the right time. If you go through a speed boost or off a ramp you’ll be engulfed in a fireball which allows you to fly through anything. Any objects you ‘kill’ show up in the stats menu and there are also achievements for them too.
With the ads showing up a bit mistimed, we currently have them to show up a set time after you die, so it depends on how high you are when you die as to when the ad appears.
