Hey guys we should back the superhot kickstarter. It already finished there modest goal of a 100k (for there team size thats pretty low), it looks like they are still using unity. These guys could be the new ID software.
Oh… I think I remember an early version/prototype of that game being brought up in the forums several months ago. Very clever concept.
I’m in.
I was very impressed by the concept and started a clone in third person, check out my progress from the first 3 days:
I’ll upload a playable demo in couple of days
That’s a great concept. I’m in too!
Yeh, I thought I seen this last year too - didn’t you created this thread last year :
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/200401-Super-hot
Its quite clever, I think it would probably be a small success.
Yeah I did create the thread but now they have the kickstarter. I just hope it gets over 200k so they can add the replay mode.
I’ll checkout the kickstarter page at least. My wallet is unfortunately taking a temporary break from kickstart. Which is a shame because this game looks very coo. Maybe I’ll toss them a dolla we’ll see
They reached 200k and now they are trying for 300k. Though I would be surprised if they made that especially with only 6 days left
I like it, but I’m not backing it as I don’t think they need my help I don’t think they ever did. The thing with kickstarter is I prefer to pay for a complete product, and kickstart something which really needs to exist and they’ve no means otherwise of taking this crazy idea and making it real.
This game, they will make with or without anyone’s help. It’s a great game concept - I don’t mean to be on a downer, just saying my rambly sort of thing.
Yup really cool, but what’s most interesting to me is how do you achieve those looks? No textures just shadows and bloom and what else? I love it!
They do have textures, they just are not very obvious. They have tonnes of ambient occlusion.
So hot right now.
so is it…superhot?
Bought it for my son, and listening to his reactions for several hours this morning one would have to say that it is indeed superhot.
