As it claims that version 2.6 support for direct importing of Cinema 4D files on Windows. I own c4d R10.5 and try to import the nature file, but it just run the apps and hanging there, no files are opened or exported.
What’s going wrong?

I had put down Unity waiting for v2.6 and to have this finally working with my Cinema 4D (R10.5 as well.)
Being that I’ve upgraded my desktop to Windows 7, I’m still reinstalling stuff.
Installed Unity, went to activate my Pro license and was told I’m out of activations - still waiting on support for that.
Clicked the free pro trial button and I’m in…
Reinstalled C4D and created a quick cube. Beveled a coouple of the faces saveed it out as Test.c4d in the project folder I created in Unity.
The cursor spins a bit when I switch back to Unity but that’s it, the c4d file in the asset list sits there with the blank white (page) icon and that’s it…
I thought okay, perhaps I need UVs, so I ran the BodyPaint wizard and created some, saved the file again and still no joy (the material imported however.)
As a test I exported the object as FBX and that came in okay.
What gives here??
I was led to believe that all this would be FIXED for Windows users come v2.6.
I took a break doing other things for all this time, come back with v2.6 in hand and I see no difference???
