In light of the recent news about one of the Oculus founders giving financial support to 'Nimble America"
Maybe a few of us will re-think what VR platform we will be developing for.

Why should people care about what founders support?
They’re developing for the product/platform, not for its founders.
If you were truly concerned about your principles then you wouldn’t have been developing for it at all as there were several controversial situations in the past with Mark Zuckerberg whereas Palmer Luckey only has this single incident. This isn’t even taking into consideration the criticisms and controversies of Facebook itself.

I hope this thread gets closed quickly. Not because it is something that shouldn’t be brought up but because these discussions have a habit of getting nasty quickly. I don’t want to see that here. Oculus themselves let discussion go on for too long and it got really bad. People who don’t know the situation can read and comment about it on Ars and/or Reddit.
Mountains out of molehills.
Not an appropriate topic. Discussion of the platform itself or the technical aspects is on point, political view points of those involved is not relevant.
