Suppose i have 2 objects one of which uses 3 texture/maps and one uses only 1, should i make unique shader graphs for both or a common one only and leave slots of maps empty ?

Both ways are valid answers based on the limited info provided, but I I would suggest working with 1 shader first and only making multiple if you are having performance issues because of it. it just makes it easier to keep things in sync.
