Surface Shaders 2

It’s been almost a year since we’ve heard anything new about the shader abstraction Unity has been working on. When will we see some examples of how this might work? What the code might look like? What limitations or new possibilities it might allow?

Hey Jason,

The shader team has been hard at work on a new shader authoring workflow called Block Shaders, to be announced in a forum post in the upcoming days. With the aim of collecting your crucial feedback as early as possible, we also prepared a public demo for everyone to try and experimental with, which we will share along with the announcement.
