SVG images too small when imported

I have a size problem when importing SVG sprites.
My original sprite image file is 1024x296 and is imported as VectorSprite
After I drop it into the scene, the sprite.rect.size is too small.
I want the sprite.rect.size.x to be 1024 and sprite.rect.size.y to be 296.
Setting PixelsPerUnit = 1 didn’t help.

The document viewport is set to 1024x296 but Unity doesn’t read it directly even with PreserveViewport being choosen.

When I change the type to TexturedSprite and FullRect, the size of the sprite.rect matched the dimensions of the sprite.

But I need SVG sprites.

Any hints?
