Swap the new 'Members' and 'New Posts' links please :(

Hi,

First world problem here - my ‘locked-in’ behaviour is to click on the right most link in the top right group of links expecting it to be the ‘New Posts’.

This is something I do at least 20 times a day.

Now the new ‘Members’ link is there, now I click the new ‘Members’ link 20 times a day, and then have to click back and click the correct link.

Can we please swap the order of these two links? This type of “muscle-memory” type behaviour is almost impossible to fix easily, I imagine many are suffering with this change.

I may not be able to feed my family, dolphins will die and a solar flare are all likely to happen if we don’t fix it!!

Yeah…I haven’t actually clicked on the members link yet, but it’s still kinda annoying, and having New Posts at the end makes it more noticeable.

while waiting for fix, using Stylish plugin custom css

*updated: by default hides Members link completely, instead of swapping places

Yasss, will do.

Yay! Not to be a pain, but can you swap Members and Mark Forums Read?

Gosh Eric, so demanding.

I know, right! Anyway, thank you. However now I have to complain about the alerts…having to go to a separate page now to see them is a bit annoying, but more so is the fact that you can’t just see a list of the alerts for the current visit. Also, what is this thingy?

If I hover over it, I get this:

Seems like it’s supposed to do something a bit more useful…

Alert changes?

I see alerts still showing just under the “Alerts” link on all pages I visit…

Where did you find that “thingy” - I don’t see it…

also…

Interesting; I tried Firefox and it behaves normally. So the thingy and the issue with the missing inbox/alerts links appears to be a new and special thing for Safari. While I appreciate new and special things, perhaps this is too new and too special and maybe it could go away.

I can’t see this using Safari, how are you getting this? :open_mouth:

That’s what I’d like to know!

I did realize that the moderation queue and reported posts pages look right, if that helps:

This is macOS 10.12.2 with Safari 10.0.2.

Hey, the thingy vanished and everything is working, which is nice!
