Currently you can’t type a capital O in a comment without popping open the editor.
Hi @tantix , I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue. I tried to reproduce this on both Mac and Windows using the latest version of the Version Control package on Unity Editor 2020.3. I typed the capital case of every letter on the keyboard but didn’t open any other dialogs in the Pending Changes checkin comment field.
Can you tell me a few more details to help me reproduce this issue?
- OS
- Unity Version
- Version Control package version
- Screenshots of the dialog that opens when you try to type Shift+O in the checkin field
Windows 10
Unity 2021.1.25f1
Version Control 1.11.2
There’s no dialog when I type Shift+O (and the capital O does appear), but it launches my editor (Visual Studio) and opens whichever file happened to be highlit in the pending changes list.
ps Thanks for quick feedback!
Thank you for the additional details! I tried again with 2021.1 on Windows 10. If I’m typing in the checkin comment field while a script is highlighted in the Pending Changes tab, pressing Shift+O did not open Visual Studio for me. Only once I changed focus from the checkin comment to the change list did pressing Shift+O open VS like expected.
But you’re seeing this shortcut open VS even when you’re typing in the checkin comment? If so then could you please email support@codicesoftware.com so that we can reach out to you and find out what’s going on?
