I was working on a 2d app. Wanted to switch to a 3d. Went to project settings change to 3d, is not switch. Yet another bug.
Also the exit failed for me today. The “x” button in Win7 does not exit the program.
Did you switch the scene view to 3d?
Yes. It appears that the 2d button in the scene stays 2d no matter how you switch views.
You can click on the 2D button in the scene view to switch between 2D and 3D. Going to the project settings doesn’t switch the scene view.

I have same problem, but when it goes back to 3D it throws the scene way out in space and it takes time to get it back to a viewable position… really annoying… once or twice it’s okay but I’ve done it 20 times today… and it goes into forced 2d view every time you load the project or leave fullscreen game view…
you could right click and drag on the scene view to change the perspective.
