Hi everybody,
The TDT3D website launch his Architecture Contest 2009 :
Great architecture contest around the water and the fluidity of the elements.
This contest aims to promote the wonders of architecture married to water and the fluidity of the elements. Ex: Old watermill, Australian museum, Nurai water villa, waterworld,… your project must be based on an existing architecture or imagined one, you are free to bring your creative touch!
Realise A3 format 150 dpi JPEG image or a 3D Realtime visit of the project of your choice

For your information, I participate last year in the Realtime category with Unity (and won the first price  ). Thus don’t hesitate to take part in this contest.
Cool. Can we find your entry from last year for download anywhere?
Sure. I have made a page about it on my website here (it’s in french) :
http://www.v3d.be/3DRT/3DRT.html
And the visit with realtime shadow is here :

And without shadow here :

Voilà, I hope to see a lot of Unity users at this contest.
hey dede…I’d really like to see it, but for some reasons the non-forums links won’t open…
ah ? Everything work fine for me.
But the 2 files of the visit are heavy : 27,5 Mo each. It’s perhaps the problem ?
Yup. Works fine now. Not sure what was going on earlier…
Thanks.
Thanks. That’s very nice. Have you started work on this year’s entry?
Not really. But I have choose my subject :
the Tadao Ando’s “Chapel on the Water”
You can follow the WIP here :

Interesting.
Have you visited Japan? You seem very interested in the architecture there…
No, never. But who know, perhaps one day. It’s probably a superb trip, very “unaccustomed” (I’m not sure if it’s the correct word for “dépaysant”) for a european like me. But it’s also a very expensive trip
Yes, after the Ryoan-ji Rock Garden last year, I chose this building from Tadao Ando, probably the most famous contemporary Japanese architect.
It is a pure coincidence. finally I suppose
But it’s true that the Japanese culture is very “intriguing” (“fascinante” in french)
Hello everybody,
This is just a little reminder. Don’t hesitate to participate !
It’s here :

Ando is one of my favorite architects. Can’t wait to see your finished work.
Thanks for the reminder, Dede. This looks interesting.
I am curious if any Unity users plan on participating in the “virtual visits” category, meaning a submittal using real time graphics.
