I just released my final project “Temple Tour”, a casual adventure game for the web browser, on Kongregate. In “Temple Tour” you play a clueless Tourist, who got lost in an ancient temple and is now trying to get out again. You control the tourist from a top down perspective with the mouse and have to explore each Level of the temple room by room. The game features randomly generated levels, which provide a new gameplay experience on each playthrough.
You have to avoid deadly traps, deep pits, horrific skeletons (ok, not so horrific, more funny
) and giant monster snakes. Here you have the help of your trusty camera. You can not only take photos from a variety of objects for point combos, but you can also defend yourself with its blinding flash. Your final goal is to find the “Golden Skull”.
Check out the game at Kongregate:
The game was coded by me, the graphics, 3D-Models, Animations, GUI, Textures, were also created by me. Although I like the style, I think that will be the last game I will make completely on my own (making games on your own is only half the fun
), and others can clearly create better art than me. The sound was created by using raw sounds from freesound.org. The game uses the Kongregate API to submit statistics and for In App Purchases.
Tell me what you think of it, also play it and rate it, if you have the time ![]()
